What Is Word Snake?
Word Snake is a themed word puzzle in the Puzzle Page app. Each daily puzzle has a theme (synonyms for a verb, types of food, etc.) and a list of words that all fit the theme. The twist: words don't run in straight lines like a Word Search — they snake through adjacent cells, bending in any direction. Every cell in the grid belongs to exactly one word.
Our solution pages show the colored grid alongside the word list. Each color represents one word's snake path. Click any word to highlight just that word's cells in the grid.
How to Read Our Word Snake Solutions
- The grid is colored cell-by-cell — cells of the same color belong to the same word.
- The word list below the grid contains every word hidden in this puzzle's theme.
- Click a word to highlight only that word's cells; click again to clear and show the full picture.
Strategy Tips for Faster Solving
- Start with words you know. Read the word list, pick a word whose theme connection is obvious, and look for its first letter as a starting cell.
- Follow adjacency. Each next letter must be in a cell directly adjacent (usually orthogonally — up, down, left, right) to the previous one.
- Use the colors as guidance. Once you've identified a few cells of one color, that color forms a continuous chain — trace it to find the word.
- Process of elimination helps. Since every cell belongs to exactly one word, identifying one word reduces the candidate cells for all others.
