What Is Sudoku?
Sudoku is the classic number-placement logic puzzle in the Puzzle Page app. You're given a partially filled grid divided into rows, columns, and rectangular sub-boxes. Your job is to fill every empty cell so that each row, each column, and each box contains every number from 1 to N exactly once — where N matches the grid size.
The Puzzle Page app rotates between standard 9×9 Sudoku (with 3×3 boxes) and smaller 6×6 Sudoku (with 2×3 boxes). Our solution pages render each grid at its actual size, with the sub-box dividers shown clearly.
How to Read Our Sudoku Solutions
- Every cell shows its final number, with original clues subtly bolder than the deduced answers when that information is available.
- Heavier black lines separate the sub-boxes from each other — the most useful structure for verifying your own solution.
- The thin gridlines between cells make it easy to read row and column values at a glance.
Strategy Tips for Faster Solving
- Scan rows, columns, and boxes systematically. A number that appears in two of the three usually has only one valid spot in the third.
- Use the ‘naked single’ rule. If a cell can only legally be one number, place it.
- Pencil-mark candidates. For tougher puzzles, jot the possible numbers in each empty cell — patterns like ‘hidden pairs’ pop out quickly.
- Don't guess unless you have to. Most Puzzle Page Sudokus are solvable by pure deduction.
